Lush, green, healthy... that's how we like them!
About us:
We consult hotels and hydroponic farms in Europe, the Middle East and beyond, especially in terms of nutrient solutions.
We offer several premium recipes for crops like leafy greens, tomatoes, microgreens and citrus trees, as well as nutrient solutions to fight specific deficiencies in ornamental plants to get the optimum in quality/esthetics and cost efficiency.
We also offer special nutrient solutions for crop fortification (= adding of certain minerals to your crop via foliar application).
This boosts quality and quantity of health promoting properties in the plant and helps you to increase your revenue due to higher selling prices. This is ideal especially for health conscious customers (more about fortification in the AGRITECTURE interview with founder Roland Sier: https://youtu.be/R2yggXeb4MI).
Custom made nutrient solutions are specifically designed to increase for example crunchiness of your leafy greens/microgreens, increase the amount of darker green leaves (leafy greens and ornamentals) or increase secondary metabolites due to a controlled phosphorous fertilization.
Our focus is on YOUR farm (or hotel) – as part of our consultation we visit you on site to understand your farm (system) and issues. Furthermore, we support local businesses by mixing nutrient solutions on site/with mineral salts from your country. This helps you to save money on expensive foreign nutrient solutions and gets rid of hugely inflated and pricey shipping costs.
About the founder:
- Started his Bachelor studies in “Regrowable Resources” at the Technical University in Munich in 2014
- Attended an aquaponic course in California in 2016, which was the tipping point:
“This was the moment, when I realised, that I want to be a part of the solution for new approaches in plant/food production. I see vertical farming/farming with hydroponic systems as the future. Production can be within cities or near the consumers. No long distance transport is needed, but instead we get fresher and healthier vegetables and a multiplication of growing area due to vertical farming. A win-win for all of us! People and planet.”
Aquaponic course at Ouroboros Aquaponics Farm, Half Moon Bay, California in 2016
- Started his Master studies of “Horticultural Sciences” at Humboldt-University in Berlin in 2017
- Worked for and with Prof. Geilfus, an expert in hydroponics and “controlled environment horticulture“ (CEH) at Humboldt-University
- Co-authored the book „Controlled Environment Horticulture - Improving Quality of Vegetables and Medicinal Plants“ and contributed chapters like „Introduction, Biofortification and Biofortification Experiment“, published by Springer in 2019.
- Since 2019 Roland consults hydroponic growers and a commercial vertical farm in Cyprus
